Richard M. Nickerson

Richard M. Nickerson was born in 1962 and has over 24 years of experience in the financial services industry. Rich has been a registered or licensed financial advisor for approximately 18 years. Rich has passed the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA) Series 7 Exam, which qualifies those who pass to work as General Securities Representatives. He has also passed the Series 66 Exam which qualified him to register as an Investment Advisor Representative and as a Securities Agent. This exam is administered in conjunction with the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA). Rich was previously registered through FINRA as a representative of Key Investment Services, LLC, LPL Financial LLC, and Camden National Bank.

In 1996, Rich earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Boston University. Early in his career, Rich started and ran Nickerson Financial Corporation with his father Robert, a former President of a community bank, and his brother Doug, who had also worked in investment and banking sectors. Nickerson Financial Corporation was a commercial mortgage company that specialized in assisting property owners and investors in arranging their mortgage placement in the $500,000 to $5,000,000 + range. In addition, Rich was a licensed real estate broker and assisted in selling commercial properties for their clients. In this capacity, Rich assisted clients in the investment analysis of properties for either purchase and/or optimum financing scenarios.

In the early 2000’s, Rich and his wife Dawn decided to move to Maine to raise their young children near Dawn’s family, and to live in a place they had always loved. Rich joined a local bank as a financial advisor and since that time has enjoyed a successful career helping Maine individuals, familes, and business owners achieve their financial goals and dreams.
