Richard M. Nickerson, President, AIF®

Rich Nickerson is the Owner and President of Eagle Financial Strategies and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has been a registered and licensed financial advisor for over 20 years and holds the Series 66 license, qualifying him as both an Investment Advisor Representative and Securities Agent. Rich also holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, demonstrating specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards and their application to the investment management process.

Early in his career, Rich was vice president of Nickerson Financial Corporation, a commercial mortgage company he managed along with his father and brother. As a licensed real estate broker, Rich also assisted clients with commercial property investment analysis for either purchase or sale.

After relocating to Maine with his wife, Dawn, in the early 2000s, Rich joined a local bank as a financial advisor. Since then, he has built a successful career helping Maine individuals, families, and business owners pursue their financial goals and long-term financial security.

Rich earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Boston University.


Andrew M. Nickerson, Vice President, CFP®, ChFC®, CLU®

Andrew “Drew” Nickerson is a Vice President and Financial Advisor with Eagle Financial Strategies and has been with the firm since 2019. He works closely with individuals and families to develop and implement comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies. In addition to providing financial guidance, Drew is actively involved in investment portfolio management, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment research, monitoring portfolio performance, and making recommendations designed to align clients' investments with their long-term financial objectives and risk tolerance.

Drew earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maine in 2014. During his time at UMaine, he served as Vice President of Equities for the Student Portfolio Investment Fund (SPIFFY), a student-managed investment organization focused on security analysis and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Eagle Financial Strategies, Drew worked for a Bangor-based investment advisory firm, where he advanced from Client Associate to Financial Advisor before bringing that experience to the Eagle team.

Drew holds the Series 66 license, qualifying him to serve as both an Investment Advisor Representative and a Securities Agent, and is committed to helping clients make informed financial decisions and pursue their long-term financial goals


David M. Robbins, CRC®, RSSA®

Dave earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, his Bachelor of Science Degree from University of Maine at Portland-Gorham, and a Master's Degree in education from the University of Southern Maine.

Mr. Robbins has been in the financial services industry for over twenty-five years. He possesses the Series 65 license which qualifies him to register as an Investment Advisor Representative and as a Securities Agent. This exam is administered in conjunction with the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).

Dave is a Registered Social Security Analyst®, RSSA®. The RSSA® designation is offered by the National Association of Registered Social Security Analysts, LTD,Meville, NY. As a RSSA®, Mr. Robbins is a specialist in Social Security income planning and assists retirees with their Social Security claiming decisions.  Knowing when to start collecting Social Security benefits for many retirees is one of the most important financial retirement decisions they will make as they prepare for their future retirement.

Dave also has the CRC® designation, Certified Retirement Counselor. The CRC® certification is offered by the International Foundation of Retirement Education (“inFRE”). The CRC® certification is a professional designation that enables financial advisors to address the challenges facing today's retirees. The CRC® program was developed with original research and analysis by a team of highly respected retirement practitioners in partnership with the academic guidance of the Center for Financial Responsibility at Texas Tech University.

Previously, Dave, had been a Registered Representative for American Independent Securities Group, LLC.  Prior to that, Mr. Robbins was a Financial Advisor for a number of years with Key Investment Services, LLC and Bangor Financial Services.

 


Heather L. Gould, Office Manager

Heather L. Gould serves as the Office Manager for Eagle Financial Strategies, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the firm delivers exceptional client experience while maintaining efficient day-to-day operations. Since joining the firm in 2010, Heather has been a key point of contact for clients, assisting with account servicing, client communications, scheduling, documentation, and the coordination of administrative and operational processes that support the firm's financial advisors.

In her role as Office Manager, Heather assists with regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and seamless client service. Her attention to detail, organization, and commitment to excellence help keep the firm's internal operations running smoothly.

Prior to joining Eagle Financial Strategies, Heather built an extensive background in customer service and management through a successful career in retail sales, where she held various supervisory and management positions. She played an integral role in front office operations at one of the area's largest dental practices and gained valuable experience as an insurance billing specialist with the region's largest healthcare provider.

Heather's dedication to providing outstanding service has made her an integral member of the Eagle Financial Strategies team and a trusted resource for the clients the firm serves.


Park O. Johnson, III

Park founded Eagle Financial Strategies, after beginning his career with a leading financial services firm, to provide independent, client-focused financial planning and investment guidance based upon biblical principles.  In 2021 Park sold the firm to Richard Nickerson. Park is still employed by Eagle Financial Strategies but is enjoying semi-retirement in Florida with his wife, Eunice.


Eunice F. Johnson

Eunice Johnson joined Eagle Financial Strategies in 2013 and has been an important contributor to the firm's commitment to exceptional client service. Prior to joining Eagle Financial Strategies, Eunice built a successful career in management and leadership roles with the U.S. Department of Labor's Job Corps program.

She currently enjoys semi-retirement while continuing to support Eagle Financial Strategies.
